Advent 2018 #5: A stream of hope

Another day in December sees another shopping centre (nice bit of internal rhyme there, if I do say so myself…). Due to the fact that I am flat-chat, today’s blog post will be short.

As I queued in traffic to get to today’s edition of ‘local shopping centre’ I was streaming some Christmas music on my phone. My car radio busted a few years ago, so stream, I do.

Here’s my shameless promotion for the post: I was streaming Christmas HOPE. You can find it here.

It’s Christmas music 24/7 and as you might guess, I’m a big fan.

As I was in the traffic queue this afternoon, Lauren Daigle and Chris Tomlin’s song, Noel came on. I found myself getting rather ‘emotional’ just listening to the song.

Back home, I found a YouTube clip with the song and some excerpts from The Nativity Story movie.

I found myself getting even more ‘emotional’ as I watched it. I love the interplay of the two journeys and the way in which the editing links them together. It’s a powerful song.

I hope you enjoy it.

Yours in song,

Alison
